Dita Von Teese says Valentine's Day is the "perfect time" to reveal her new underwear collection.

The stunning burlesque star is unveiling Von Follies by Dita Von Teese in February 2012 via Target Australia stores. The range will be hitting shops on February 8 - just in time for Valentine's Day, and Dita is thrilled about the timing.

"It's the perfect time to treat yourself or someone special to a glamorous piece from my new collection," she told WWD.

"I am excited to see my Australian fans again."

Dita will return to Australia in March to kick off the launch of Von Follies by Dita Von Teese. She will also hit the runway for Target at the L'Oréal Melbourne Fashion Festival.

The beauty's underwear line is set to be a success says Murray Chenery, general manager of marketing for Target Australia.

"The product mix is a true reflection of Dita's own personal style and Target is confident it will resonate with customers who are inspired by beautiful, affordable and great quality garments," Murray explained.

Von Follies by Dita Von Teese is a 26 piece collection and features luxurious vintage-inspired garments and includes many of the star's favourites such as high-waisted panties and overwire bras.

This is Dita's second underwear line. In 2008 she teamed up with Wonderbra to design a capsule collection.
