Elizabeth Hurley credits "healthy, organic food" for her incredible looks.
The actress looks radiant and toned at the age of 46 thanks to a clean diet consisting mostly of unprocessed foods. The former model is famous for advocating a healthy lifestyle and treats her body like the proverbial temple.
Elizabeth says that thanks to her organic meal plan she doesn't have to starve herself in order to maintain her physique.
"I rarely diet, and find if I eat healthy food I can eat quite a lot of it. By healthy, I mean organic meat, fish, lots of fresh fruit and vegetables, homemade cakes, breads and puddings. I almost never eat anything from a tin of a packet as I'm passionate about home-cooked food and am convinced that eating processed encourages weight gain," she explained to Amuse magazine. "If you think about it, a homemade cake only has four ingredients; butter, eggs, sugar and flour, but if you look at the ingredient list of a shop-bought cake it can be quadruple that - and most of it is stuff you don't want in your body."
Elizabeth added that she is so committed to a healthy lifestyle she sources all of her ingredients locally wherever possible.
The Gossip Girl star famously converted a 400-acre farm in the British region of Gloucestershire to organic status and has even been spotted selling her own sausages from a market stall.
"I like food in its simple state. I have my own organic farm and only eat my own meat. I don't eat dairy but buy it for the family from the farm next door. I grow most of my own vegetables and buy the rest from our local farmers' market," she said.
