Elizabeth Olsen likes to choose clothes that make her feel like she owns them, rather than live in her sisters' fashion shadow.
The actress is the sibling of successful twin businesswomen Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, who have made megabucks thanks to their fashion brands.
The star denied she uses her family for fashion purposes, instead stating she is interested in their lines for purely supportive reasons.
"Well, yeah, [they do give fashion tips]. They have a fashion show in New York tomorrow that I'm missing [as a result of being in the UK for the recent BAFTA Awards] which is too bad," Elizabeth explained to the British edition of Star magazine. "I mean, their whole thing is to feel great in what you're wearing and own it."
Elizabeth spoke to the publication while backstage at the famous acting awards ceremony. Also joining the US talent at the event were A-list Hollywood females Dame Helen Mirren and Zero Dark Thirty star Jessica Chastain. Both stars complained about their ensembles for the occasion.
"I have a warm coat with me," Jessica explained when asked how she was dealing with the cold UK weather.
"[No, I won't be dancing at the after-party] my heels are too high!" Helen laughed.
