Elizabeth Olsen says she used to be "obsessed" with Marni.

The up-and-coming actress revealed her most extravagant purchase to date as a coat from the high fashion label. The 22-year-old said she bought the luxe garment when she was 16 after saving up gift vouchers.

"I was obsessed with Marni, so every birthday and Christmas, my parents would give me gift certificates and I would save them up. To this day, it's my favourite purchase," she told the UK edition of Glamour magazine.

The blonde beauty also talked about her style evolution.

Elizabeth revealed the various phases she went through until she turned into the budding fashionista she is today.

"I've gone through different stages of fashion. I went through a second-hand-only phase when I was 16. Then I wore long skirts and cardigans at 18," she said. "Now I like wearing clothes that look quite put-together. Shirts buttoned all the way up, fitted trousers."

The younger sibling to the famous Olsen twins, Elizabeth said she can't resist having a look around their extensive wardrobes.

After wearing style icon Mary Kate and Ashley's clothes for years, the Martha Marcy May Marlene star said her sisters have promised her a gown from their own fashion line.

"I've always borrowed from my sisters, but more now as I have more occasions to go to. They've promised to make me a dress if I get to go to any huge awards shows this season," she said.
