Emilia Fox sees the process of being dolled up for awards as "a treat".
The A-list actress discussed how being preened and pampered by stylists and make-up artists is one of her favourite parts of the job.
Although she feels pre-awards do stress, it's the advice bestowed upon her by her team of pros that help her get through events.
At this year's BAFTA Awards Emilia wowed in a vintage Givenchy gown, which her stylist told her to not sit down in.
"It's such a treat being asked to come here and it's great fun, but there's such a lot of pressure too," Emilia explained to British OK! magazine. "It's never worse than when you walk down the red carpet and you don't feel your best. One year, I had my baby just three months before and I had her here with me. My mind was somewhere else. I walked down the red carpet thinking, 'I should be at home breast feeding.’”
The actress feels responsible for her appearance at high-profile events. She gushed about the team of professionals who work behind the scenes to ensure stars like her are appropriately groomed before their big appearances.
"You're being scrutinised and also feel very responsible. There's so much work that goes into a red carpet look - it's a team effort and I'm just a dolly!"
