Emma Stone channels Eastern beauty in new shots for Revlon.
The Fall/Winter season has seen designers such as Proenza Schouler and Dries Van Noten look to the Orient for their collections.
Now beauty giant Revlon has followed suit. Emma is the face of their new collection, which Global Creative Director Gucci Westman says is inspired by her first trip to China and "the sets, the saturated colours and the elegance and femininity of the beauty looks" in Chinese cinema.
The Shanghai collection includes red lip lacquers, nail appliqués and creamy metallic eyeshadows.
Emma sports rich, red hair and a smoky eye, finished off with perfect red lips for the campaign shots.
Chinese cinema style is often very dramatic, but Westman wanted to make the look accessible for everyone.
"When it came time to bring this collection to life, I really thought about how a western cool girl would adopt all of these influences into her beauty look… That is why I made a sheerer red lip (Red Lacquer), it's this gorgeous tomato, a big colour for the season, with a surprising texture - it kind of gives your lips a wash of red," she told Stylist.
"With the eyes, the cream to powder texture of the metallics allow you to wear these striking colours but with more transparency."
