Florence Welch says Karl Lagerfeld is "great to be around" because of his creative mind.
The singer has struck up a friendship with the legendary fashion visionary and was chosen to perform at the Chanel ready-to-wear spring/summer 2012 fashion show.
The 25-year-old gushed that the energetic designer makes for inspiring company.
"We hang out in Paris and he has this incredible book store with his studio space behind. I spend a lot of time there - he's such a great person to be around creatively. It's hard to have a conversation with him sometimes, he is always on Karl time because he has at least three projects on the go," she revealed in British magazine Look.
The flame-haired Florence + The Machine frontwoman has become somewhat of a style icon herself and is adored by many high fashion houses, with Gucci creative director Frida Giannini famously designing her tour wardrobe in 2011.
The Shake It Out singer revealed her favourite designer labels and high street stores.
"I love Temperley - I wore her designs for the album launch. And I was really lucky that Gucci made all my clothes for the tour. Everything that Valentino designs is amazing and I love Erdem. And, of course, Chanel," she counted.
"I'm on the road quite a lot so I look on the internet at net-a-porter.com for things that I think, 'Hmmm, one day when I can afford it.' And I'm always on the Topshop website."
