Gwyneth Paltrow's make-up artist has described how to get the look from her latest advert.

Mel Arter is the newest addition to Max Factor's team of cosmetics experts.

She described how she created Gwyneth's flawless complexion for her latest campaign shoot.

The blonde beauty was signed as the face of Max Factor in August this year and her debut series of adverts will be seen from this month.

In this campaign, Gwyneth showcases an assortment of different looks from the Max Factor beauty line.

The first is entitled 'The Artist' and it represents one of many different roles the star plays in real life.

Following the first reveal, further images will be released that are based on Gwyneth's other roles in life, such as wife, mother and actress.

Mel revealed to British magazine Grazia how the team created The Artist beauty look on Gwyneth.

She suggests applying a slick of long wearing foundation and then blending a smokey purple eyeshadow across the lid. Intensify the look by drawing black eyeliner close to the upper lash line. Smudge the same purple colour across the lower lashes with a cotton bud to make the colour really pop.

Add a dab of pearly coloured eyeshadow to the inner eye, then add volumising and lengthening mascara in black to lashes.

A dab of blusher and slick of nude lip colour finishes the look.

Gwyneth has recently collaborated with London based beauty brand Butter on a limited-edition trio of bespoke nail lacquers. The festive range was created exclusively for her lifestyle website goop.

"These exclusive colours by butter for goop are the perfect stocking stuffer or crowd-pleasing holiday gift," the star says on her blog. "Abso-bloody-lutley is the ultimate deep cherry opaque red, Bread & Butter pudding comes in sheer ivory cream while Hampstead Heath offers a mossy, green and gold shine, great for a holiday occasion."

Gemini:

This is a good time to establish a routine. Create a schedule that strikes a nice balance between your personal and professional lives. You're the type of person who needs plenty of intellectual stimulation outside of work. If you've been spending too much time at the office, reduce your hours. This may mean less money, but you can't put a price on happiness. You might even decide to take a job with unconventional hours so you can play sports or spend more time outdoors.More
