Gwyneth Paltrow: Punk rock is sexy

Gwyneth Paltrow has described punk rock as a “free, sexy and expressive” kind of style.

The actress has joined forces with make-up giants Max Factor to showcase a number of different looks that bring to life the brand’s new Glamour Statement Vision.

One of the images shows the Hollywood sporting a smokey eyed rock chick look entitled Electric, which Gwyneth revealed is one of her favourites from the campaign.

“I like it a lot because it’s a bit more punk rock. It’s how I would do punk rock, you know?” Gwyneth explained in a behind-the-scenes video. “It’s free, it’s sexy and it’s expressive.”

Gwyneth was announced as the face of the new campaign last year. In the footage, renowned make-up artist Pat McGrath revealed how she created the simple yet striking look for the shoot.

“This is the ultimate rock star look, the eyes are the focus and it’s smouldering, it’s sexy and it oozes sex appeal,” Pat explained.

“To achieve it you only need two products, Max Factor false lash effect mascara and black eyeliner that is smudged in at the roots of lashes for the ultimate rock star look.”

Gwyneth was not only the canvas to carry out make-up effects on, but also the inspiration behind the project’s shape.

“I tasked 11 of our national make-up artists to create three glamour statements for Gwyneth. These were to be inspired by her life and the different roles she has to play – model, actress, mother, singer,” Pat continued. “I then curated these looks, taking nuances from each, to create seven glamour statements. These were brought to life by Max Factor with amazing, beautiful results.”

This is a good time to establish a routine. Create a schedule that strikes a nice balance between your personal and professional lives. You're the type of person who needs plenty of intellectual stimulation outside of work. If you've been spending too much time at the office, reduce your hours. This may mean less money, but you can't put a price on happiness. You might even decide to take a job with unconventional hours so you can play sports or spend more time outdoors.More
