Hugh Dancy says modelling for Burberry wasn't enough to "drive [his] day" but it certainly helped update his wardrobe.
The British actor was the face of the high-end brand for its 2004-2005 advertising campaigns when he was still a relatively unknown star. Hugh says his time modelling for the luxe label might not have changed his life, but it did help polish his look.
"Modelling for Burberry doesn't drive my day, but it did help..."Hugh revealed to UK Elle magazine. "Suddenly, I'd got a whole load of Burberry clothes in my wardrobe that are all a lot nicer than anything I had."
Despite his association with the stylish and iconic Burberry brand, Hugh says he does not care much for clothes.
Even though his acting skills have seen him star in big blockbuster movies, Hugh isn't the sort of person to frivolously spend money on new garments. In fact the thrifty star is quite the opposite, and will only purchase new items when he absolutely must.
"I'll wear a jumper until it's threadbare," he confessed.
