Idris Elba is the new face of Smart Water's advertising campaign.
The Emmy-nominated actor will appear in the water brand's print advertisements that will run in upcoming issues of national magazines, including GQ and Essence.
The fall campaign was shot earlier this summer by noted fashion photographer Norman Jean Ray and features Idris in four different scenes incorporating Smart Water into his daily lifestyle.
Idris takes over from Jennifer Aniston as the face of the water brand which is enhanced with electrolytes. The stunning Hollywood actress showed off her enviably athletic frame in last year's adverts.
Idris is best known for his role as drug dealer Stringer Bell on HBO's acclaimed series The Wire. The British hunk also plays the title role of Detective John Luther in the BBC television show Luther. The 39-year-old star appeared in a comedic guest role in Showtime's The Big C.
