Imogen Poots thinks "the faster, the better" when it comes to beauty routines.

The British actress is famed for her English rose complexion and naturally beautiful looks. The 22-year-old star prefers to keep her make-up routine simple.

"The faster, the better!" she told Elle France when asked about her morning routine.

"[I use] a lot of Crème Ultra-Hydratante Osmotic Fusion from Ren on my face and Beurre de Karité L'Occitane for the body, and that's it. During the day, to protect my skin from the sun, I use sun cream."

Imogen has revealed her beauty icons. The stunning star looks to veteran actresses for inspiration.

"I was always inspired by the girls from the 80's, most of all the actresses in the Woody Allen movies, such as Meryl Streep, Mariel Hemingway, Diane Keaton and Mia Farrow," she revealed.

To maintain her enviably clear skin, Imogen always removes her make-up before going to bed. The beauty also completes a more vigorous cleansing routine once a week.

"I remove my make-up very carefully every night with cleaning wipes and, once a week, I do the complete stuff with a purifying mask from Dr Hauschka or I scrub my skin softly with Gommage Energisant Ren," she explained.

Imogen likes to experiment with dramatic make-up for her day-to-day look. She uses bolder hues to create a more statement look.

"To go out, I use a black eyeliner with some blush on my cheekbones and a real moisturising lip balm," she said.
