Jade Jagger loves the 'naughty' Belfast look

Fashion and jewellery designer Jade Jagger brought a touch of A-list sparkle to a rain-soaked Northern Ireland last night.
The 37-year-old daughter of Rolling Stone Mick Jagger jetted into Belfast with her boyfriend who was Djaying at the launch of the new Smirnoff Mule drink in the Oh Yeah Centre in the Cathedral Quarter.
Dressed in a hot pink sequinned mini-dress designed by Armand Basi and sporting some fabulous jewellery of her own creation, the glamorous mother-of-two took time out to quell rumours that she had wed recently.
Speculation had been rife in the tabloids that Jade had married Dan Williams in a secret ceremony and announced their union on the social networking site Facebook.
But last night she categorically dismissed the rumours.
“I did not get married and have never been married. The Facebook stuff is not true,” she said.
Jade, who was creative director for crown jeweller Garrard and now operates her own ‘lifestyle’ company Jezebel, which runs club nights across the world, breezed into a very grey Belfast from the sunshine island of Ibiza, where she spends most of her time with her two teenage daughters.
And the style queen, whose friends include model Kate Moss and designer Stella McCartney, said she loved the “naughty” look adopted by girls in Northern Ireland.
“You guys seem to like the pixie hair do. On the flight I quite liked that there was a sort of naughty look about people,” she said.
Despite having been to Dublin on numerous occasions, most recently last week for a similar promotion party, and having watched her famous father “do his show” at Slane in 2007, last night was Jade’s first venture north of the Irish border. She said: “Belfast seems kind of friendly and the hotel where I am staying is pretty.
“Dublin was good, it was fun. I’ve been there before and further into the country. I came when my dad did his show in Slane Castle. It was good and we have got some family in Dublin so I’ve been there before.
“I am going back to London in the afternoon and then on to Ibiza a bit later on. I haven’t had a chance to look around Belfast but I am hoping to have a look before I go back.”
As the daughter of a Rolling Stone and model, Jade, who was famously babysat at the Factory by artist Andy Warhol, has lived all of her life in the public eye. But surprisingly she said she could never follow her famous father or boyfriend onto the stage — because she doesn’t like being the centre of attention.
She said: “I could never DJ or anything like that. I DJ at home and annoy the family but it’s not something I do. I couldn’t take the pressure. I’ve never been someone that wants all the attention. OK, I’ll do a picture or whatever but I prefer to make things. I am totally proud of my dad. I hope that the Stones carry on working for as long as they like.”
Snow Patrol’s Gary Lightbody is among the founders of the Oh Yeah Centre and Jade said she liked their music.
“I like listening to everything at home. I go through phases of listening to anything from classical music to Latin music. I do like Snow Patrol — it’s quite heartfelt.
“Girls like it.”
Last night’s party was to promote the new Smirnoff Mule drink.

I can't talk to my husband
I have been married for nine years but I still don’t feel able to talk openly about intimate things to my husband. He’s just as bad as me because his parents were very conservative and strict.
