Jennifer Lawrence says the worst part about her wardrobe malfunction at the SAG Awards was the "clueless look" on her face.
The actress wowed in a Christian Dior Haute Couture dress at the Screen Actors Guild Awards last weekend. Jennifer won best actress for her performance in Silver Linings Playbook, and as she walked up to the stage to collect her trophy, a series of incidents led to her revealing her legs under the sheer lining of the skirt.
The gown, which was shown on the runway at Paris Couture Fashion Week, was modified for her awards appearance and had the lining concealed, to hide the fact it was a tiered gown.
The combination of her pulling up the top part of the dress while having the bottom part caught up after sitting down resulted in her revealing the sheer lining.
Jennifer has laughed off the incident, admitting she had no idea what had happened as she was basking in her win.
"It was tiered, so it wasn't technically a dress malfunction but it wasn't exactly planned either. And the worst thing is I had no idea," the star said during an interview with UK TV show Lorraine. "So the look on my face is just…I just had a clueless look on my face."
Jennifer went on to explain that she thinks fate was working against her that night. She also revealed another person was involved in her wardrobe malfunction.
"I think I got stepped on, I was never supposed to get on that stage," she quipped.
Jennifer ensured all eyes were on her as she graced the red carpet at the SAG Awards.
To complement her navy blue, strapless, floor-length dress, the 22-year-old opted for a side-parted wavy hairstyle and screen-siren red lips.
It was recently revealed the biggest designers are battling it out to dress Jennifer for the Oscars this month. The star has received a best actress nomination and fashion moguls believe she is the perfect advert for their creations.
"Jennifer's in demand on screen and off it - everyone wants a piece of her," a source told RadarOnline.
"Both Jennifer and her stylist have been flooded with offers from designers to wear their clothing and jewellery for the Oscars."
