Jessica Biel: Double up on red

Jessica Biel

Jessica Biel's secret to looking glamorous on the red carpet is to double up on "fire-engine red".

The 30-year-old claims that adding a colour pop of scarlet to her look is a fool proof way to add impact to any outfit.

"[My beauty secret is] fire-engine red. It makes twice the statement when worn on lips and nails (and shoes!)," Jessica revealed to the US edition of Elle magazine. "Try Super Lustrous Lipstick in Certainly Red and ColorStay Longwear Nail Enamel in Red Carpet both by Revlon."

The newlywed star appears on the cover of the January edition of the magazine wearing a Raf Simons' Christian Dior number.

Inside the publication, Jessica is photographed in a variety of scenes with some of her favourite fashion designers including Giambattista Valli, who designed her wedding dress.

She explained her reasons for opting for the unconventional pink coloured gown when she married Justin Timberlake earlier this year.

"I wanted the dress to be very romantic and feminine and a shape that I very rarely wear. I have never been crazy about all-white wedding dresses, for me at least. [Giambattista Valli] had created that same fabric in a fuschia-and-pink combination for a dress in a previous collection, and I asked him if he could create that same pattern in a white combination, and he suggested pink," Jessica continued. "It was a bit of a leap of faith at the time, but it turned out better than I could have ever imagined. [Putting it on], I felt like I had made the right choice. I felt elegant. And it moved like a dream."

Jessica's photo with Giambattista Valli was taken in Paris at the Hôtel Plaza Athénée. The designer shared his experiences of working with Jessica for the publication.

"This was like being in bed with your best girlfriend, chatting," he revealed. "Jessica has very fluid style - she's never contrived or overdone."
