Jessica Biel doesn't mind being appreciated for her looks - as it means her training sessions "paid off".
The stunning actress is a frequent fixture in men's magazines and world's most beautiful woman polls. Jessica doesn't mind the compliments - as long as people take her acting career seriously too.
"It's not the worst thing that can be said about you," she smiled in an interview with British newspaper The Sun. "At least I know that all the hard work and all those training sessions paid off in some respect.
"Usually you can make that attention work to your benefit if you find the kinds of roles where you can prove yourself as an actress. I've tried to mix it up by playing in darker films as well as in comedies, which I loved to do, and I think it's much easier for me now compared to when I was doing more photoshoots which helped get me more recognition."
Jessica is famed for being a sports fanatic and tries to keep fit at all times. The 30-year-old beauty likes the sense of accomplishment she gets from an intense work-out.
"What gave me more confidence was doing gymnastics and team sports like soccer and then when I was doing Pilates on a competitive basis. I was always an athletic girl and I enjoyed feeling fit and healthy. I'm doing more yoga these days than I did when I was younger but I still like to run and do weights to stay fit," she explained.
"It's something I've done since I was a teenager and I love the feeling you get from a good workout and seeing how you can tone your body. I just have to be careful not to do a lot of heavy weights because it's easy to bulk up my shoulders, which might look good for some roles but not if I'm doing a period piece where women weren't in the habit of working out."
