Jessica Biel thrills with frills at Hitchcock premiere

Jessica Biel

Jessica Biel stole the show in a daring dress at the Hitchcock premiere in California last night.

The newly-married actress walked the red carpet in a stunning Gucci number at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills.

Usually the 30-year-old would have to compete with her blonde co-star Scarlett Johansson for attention, but yesterday she went solo, with her colleague unable to attend.

Jessica's floor-length black gown was adorned with huge ruffles at the front of her chest, which snaked round to her back.

The halter-neck style of the dress allowed for a flash of skin at the sides.

This combined with a super low-cut back added sex appeal to the otherwise demure gown.

Due to the intricate detail at the front of the frock, Jessica opted to keep her hair and make-up simple.

The brunette beauty swept her locks into a cute up-do with a quiff, adding a playful dimension to the look.

Jessica needs little make-up to look gorgeous and kept eyeliner to a minimum, whilst emphasising her mouth with a slick of pink lipstick.

Ruffles can be a great way to spice up a plainer outfit, such as a little black dress.

If you're busty, steer clear from ruffles around the chest like Jessica's, as they could make you appear top-heavy.

If you're petite, try detail around the waist to give the illusion of a curvier shape.

Jessica's co-stars Toni Collette and Dame Helen Mirren also joined her on the red carpet, with Toni looking gorgeous in a fitted red dress.

Dame Helen opted for a lacy black and gold number, teamed with stunning chandelier earrings.

Sir Anthony Hopkins, who plays Alfred Hitchcock in the biopic, was unable to attend due to work commitments.
