Jessica Chastain braved the cold temperatures in a sleeveless blue Elie Saab dress with nude panelling at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood last night.
The red-haired actress looked perfectly poised in the flattering shade as she posed on the red carpet for the premiere of her latest movie Zero Dark Thirty.
At first glance, the Oscar-nominated star looked as though her knee length frock boasted a transparent top half.
Closer observation showed that clever nude panelling underneath the delicate blue lace detailing gave the illusion of bare skin.
Jessica accessorised with a pair of light gold coloured Charlotte Olympia strappy high heeled sandals and some jewelled earrings by Harry Winston.
The 35-year-old The Help actress' flame coloured locks were styled in a classic screen siren fashion. Jessica oozed confidence as she strutted confidently down the red carpet at the premiere of the film, and displayed her ability to do understated glamour impeccably.
The on-trend cobalt blue shade of Jessica's dress also contained a fashionable peplum detail at the waist, highlighting her toned and healthy physique.
Jessica was joined at the event by her castmate Chris Pratt who was accompanied by his wife Anna Faris.
Anna opted for a nude coloured strapless floor length gown by Tadashi Shoji.
In Zero Dark Thirty, Jessica stars as an under the radar CIA agent. The gritty war thriller is hotly tipped for awards season, having recently scooped the Best Film accolade by the National Board of Review.
