Jessica Simpson has reached her "halfway happy weight" on her mission to shed the pregnancy pounds.

The stunning star put on five stone while expecting her first child, taking her from eight-and-a-half stone to almost 13 stone. According to sources, Jessica is over the moon to have lost two-and-a-half stone since giving birth to daughter Maxwell in May.

Shortly after the delivery, Jessica signed up to Weightwatchers and has been following a healthy and balanced meal plan.

"Jessica is just happy to near the halfway mark. She's keeping a food diary and making healthy choices," a source told British magazine Closer.

The blonde bombshell is also following a varied exercise regime.

Jessica - who has struggled with fluctuating weight in the past - is committed to get fit and works out six days a week.

"She has one day off a week, but she's back doing cardio and toning with her trainer. She hates being away from Maxwell for any length of time, though," the insider added.
