Julianne Hough says her biggest fashion mistake was trying to be "trendy".
The American singer-and-actress always looks gorgeous and even proved her fashion credentials by collaborating on a shoe line with online company Sole Society.
However, the Burlesque star hasn't always managed to get her look right.
"Early in my career, I was more focussed on wearing what I thought people would want to see me in," she explained to Teen Vogue.
"I wore clothing that was deemed trendy and fashion forward, but that didn't necessarily make me feel comfortable. Now my priority is wearing clothes I feel confident in because that's when I look my best."
The blonde bombshell now seems to know exactly what suits her, stunning at the GQ Men of the Year Party in a white trouser suit last week.
When it comes to colours that suit her, the 24-year-old favours strong red-brown tones.
"I am really loving the oxblood trend - it's such a bold and drastic colour," she revealed.
"I am on the lookout this season for anything accented with it: sweaters, boots... even lipstick and nail polish."
Julianne is super stylish these days and always manages to wow on the red carpet.
However, as a teen she preferred a more casual look.
"[As a teenager I wore] Buckle jeans with a T-shirt and tennis shoes. My big splurge was on an Abercrombie & Fitch sweater that had fur on the inside," she recalled.
