Julianne Moore has been announced as the new face of L'Oreal Paris.
The Emmy-award winning actress will take the role of Global Brand Ambassador which will see her front a new skincare line for 2013 called Cellular Renaissance.
The 51-year-old will also be the face of other new products launching next year including a hair care range.
The star revealed why she chose to partner with L'Oreal.
"I'm an actual user of the brand and it's hard not to be," Julianne told WWD. "Every modern woman shops everywhere for beauty, but for me it's mostly the airport or the drugstore. It's nice to be promoting something that is accessible to everyone."
Julianne also revealed her top beauty philosophy involves protecting her skin from sun damage. She applies layers of face oil and SPF as part of her daily mantra, but keeps her routine relatively simple.
"My mother was from Scotland and had very fair skin, she wouldn't allow us to go in the sun," Julianne explained. "[I just use a washcloth to cleanse the face] it's an old-fashioned beauty tip for exfoliating."
Julianne joins a whole host of glamorous celebrities who have fronted the brand, including Gwen Stefani, Claudia Schiffer and the newly appointed Glee star Lea Michele.
