The eccentric designer hit the headlines when he apparently criticised Catherine Middleton's sister Pippa's face recently. He has now commented on the women's mother Carole, claiming she is incredibly good looking.
"I think Carole is very sexy," he told the British edition of Grazia. "I think the mother is sexier than both the daughters. There is something full of life about her. For a woman who must be 50 or so, I think she's great - full of energy."
When talking to the publication recently, he claimed Pippa should only show her back as he "doesn't like her face". The 79-year-old designer has now backtracked on the remarks.
"I didn't mean that!" he insisted. "I only meant that I don't think her make-up is right; she has a roundish face and round eyes and she should pick another make-up for the eyes. Her sister's more beautiful."
Karl also spoke about Keira Knightley, who has been his muse at Chanel. The two get along famously and she recently commented she would love for him to create a dress for her to wear when she marries her fiancé James Righton.
"I would love to do it if she wanted," he said. "Normally, I don't recommend me for wedding dresses - they all get a divorce."
