Kate Beckinsale's "effortless" red carpet hair has been explained.
The actress wowed at the Total Recall Los Angeles premiere earlier this week when she wore a floor length snakeskin gown. The difficult to pull-off outfit worked so magnificently thanks to her neutral make-up and non-fussy pulled back hairstyle.
Kate's hairdresser for the occasion Mara Roszak sought inspiration from the Armani Prive gown before devising Kate's beauty look for the event. Mara chose a complimentary loose and relaxed style as the dress was so structured.
"Edgy and undone," Mara described it to US Weekly.com, "It had an effortless feel."
Although it looked simple, hours of careful planning and preparation went into the look. However, Mara insists Kate's hairstyle can be copied at home.
First of all add texture and volume to your tresses with a frizz-taming spray. Once this is done and the hair is dry, start twisting sections and pinning with grips at the nape of the neck.
Keep the style unstructured by pulling strands around the face and adding height at the crown. Finally, fix the look with lashings of hairspray.
