Kate Bosworth has been confirmed as the face of Topshop's winter campaign.

The British high street store has enlisted the help of the 29-year-old actress to promote their first ever Christmas advert.

In a video unveiled today, the blonde actress wears a sparkling custom-made Topshop dress as she sings lyrics to festive hit Winter Wonderland in an almost empty theatre.

"This project brings together two important aspects of my life: cinema and fashion," the Superman Returns star told WWD.

"I have always been a fan of the Topshop brand, and it has been an honour to work with Sir Phillip [Green] and the team. I hope everyone enjoys watching it as much as we did making it."

In the two-and-a-half minute clip Kate sings her sultry song atop a piano, wearing red lipstick to match her crimson dress.

A chandelier in the background accompanied with fake snow make for an elegant festive setting.

The store has revealed the make-up used in the promo will be available on topshop.com immediately, while the dress and matching sparkly shoes will be sold as special, made-to-order items on the website in conjunction with the Los Angeles store opening in February.

The track from the advert will be available to download on iTunes and viewers will also be able to download previous movies starring Kate.

The clip for Topshop's campaign is shot by Hollywood director Michael Polish, who is also Kate's fiancé.

The full campaign will run across social media platforms, cinemas, billboards and globally in Topshop flagship stores on giant screens with interactive audio windows.

An embarrassing secret will come to light, affecting your reputation. Somebody who once admired you will now turn away in dismay. Instead of trying to win their affection again, lay low for a wee while. You'll make a much better impression by letting your actions speak for themselves. There is a chance this relationship is beyond redemption. If your former friend decides to keep their distance, you will have no other choice than to respect their feelings. Better luck next time.More
