Keira Knightley looked effortlessly elegant at the Anna Karenina premiere in Hollywood last night.

The premiere comes two weeks after the original date set for the New York screening was cancelled due to the effects of Hurricane Sandy.

The British actress chose light blue and green hues for her appearance on the red carpet at the ArcLight cinema.

The 27-year-old looked every inch the leading lady in her strapless, floor-length Erdem dress.

The embroidered floral detail added an innocent and playful touch to the otherwise very grown up gown.

The elaborate outfit choice required very few accessories, so Keira kept it simple with a pair of Jimmy Choo shoes and Chanel jewellery.

The actress also went for a classic look in the beauty stakes, opting for a slick of liquid eyeliner and a light pink lip colour.

The shades of her dress and make-up brought out the best of her English rose qualities, while her simple, swept-back hair showed off her great bone structure.

Joining Keira at the festivities were director Joe Wright and her fiancé, Klaxons keyboardist James Righton.

Earlier in the day, the pretty star joined talk show host Ellen DeGeneres to discuss her upcoming wedding to James and her racy Allure cover shoot, which came out this week.

The stars were also out in full force in London last night, for the premiere of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2.

Kristen Stewart went for a vamped up look, in an embellished black jumpsuit by Zuhair Murad.

She was joined on the red carpet by co-star and on-off boyfriend Robert Pattinson as they posed for photos in Leicester Square.
