Kelly Osbourne 'sad' to leave Material Girl

Kelly Osbourne is "sad" she will no longer be the face of Madonna's fashion line.

The reality TV star is preparing to end her role as the face of the singer and her daughter Lourdes's clothing range, Material Girl.

However, Kelly is also thrilled to be part of a nationwide search to find the next model for the brand.

"I'm sad, but I'm really excited to help pick the next girl and that I got to be a part of this process," she told People at a Material Girl model casting in New York earlier this week.

The 27-year-old admitted she would find the audition process daunting.

She has a lot of admiration for the girls who put themselves forward.

"They get on stage in the middle of Macy's on a microphone in front of the mall. It's really intimidating - really scary," she explained. "But it gave me faith in the female kind again seeing these awesome young girls on stage spilling their guts. One girl drove 20 hours!"

But Kelly says the process will definitely be worth it for the winner. She loved being the face of the campaigns.

"I can't even tell you what it's done for my confidence," she revealed. "To be a face of a fashion line? I'm not even a model citizen."

Lourdes has been incredibly impressed with all of Kelly's hard word. She confessed that they had a lot of fun together.

"Kelly was really involved and just really fun to work with. We're very similar and we're both really awkward, so we understand each other," she smiled.

Kelly is unsure what her future role will be with the company. But she is excited to be involved in the winner's first photo shoot.

"I don't know [if I'll be involved]," she confessed, "I am going to the first photo shoot with the girls."

But Lourdes is eager to keep Kelly on board. She wants her friend to have lots more input in the line and the campaigns.

"Of course [she'll be involved]," she exclaimed. "We're pallies. We're pals."
