Kylie Minogue looked "like a goddess" in her Aphrodite tour outfits, designers Dolce and Gabbana have gushed.

The Italian duo have created many looks for the Australian pop princess during her 25-year music career and heaped praise on her in Kylie's upcoming book.

Close friends of the star, Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana gladly joined fashion contemporaries including Jean Paul Gaultier and John Galliano in talking about the many iconic outfits they created for her.

"For us, it's always a pleasure to create something special for our little princess," they write in the tome. "In the Aphrodite costumes, Kylie truly looked like a goddess."

Titled Kylie/Fashion, the Minogue style retrospective looks at the Timebomb singer's many trend-setting looks, including the infamous gold Spinning Around hotpants and sexy white hooded catsuit from her Can't Get You Out Of My Head video.

Kylie herself is brimming with excitement about the November release.

"It makes me very proud to see gathered together all the great designers and houses I've worked with over the years. Looking through my personal archives has been a real trip down memory lane and it is the fashion that brings back moments and memories of the last 25 years," she said of the book.

Kylie/Fashion is set for release on November 19, published by Thames & Hudson.
