Lady Gaga may be a fan of fashion but she "hates" shopping.

The eccentric singer is famed for her unique costumes including the infamous meat dress she wore to the MTV Video Music Awards in 2010.

While she is willing to fork out money for her quirky fashions, she dislikes having to go out and find the items.

"Laying in bed saying 'yes\no' to new clothes+accessories. This is the best. #LoveFashionHateShopping Unless of course it's Brooklyn vintage (sic)," she posted on her Twitter page.

It is expected Gaga's upcoming world stage show will include an array of bold costumes. The Grammy Award winner's tour - titled the Born This Way Ball - will begin in Europe with supporting act The Darkness. Lead singer of the British rock band, Justin Hawkins, has declared he will happily match the 26-year-old star's outlandishness.

"If she's wearing a meat dress, I'll wear a potato catsuit," he said.

"One of the other band members can wear gravy cut-off shorts or something."

The global tour begins on April 27 in Seoul before making its way to Europe. The first show of the European leg of her global tour kicks off on August 14 in Sofia, Bulgaria.
