Lindsay Lohan tried to persuade a businessman to buy her a diamond watch as a "gift" at a recent charity auction, according to a source.
The actress looked gorgeous in a white figure-hugging Tom Ford dress as she attended the amFAR charity gala in New York earlier this week.
According to the New York Post, the troubled starlet used her charms to "schmooze" a Canadian financier at the charity auction which raised $1.4million for AIDS research.
Sources claim that when the bidding process began, Lindsay sent over her assistant to suggest the businessman splash out on a "gift" for the blonde bombshell.
According to an onlooker the actress had her eye on a luxury Hublot diamond watch with a white alligator strap.
"There were items being auctioned for $20,000. After chatting with the businessman, Lindsay sent over an assistant, who said, 'Lindsay would very much like it if you'd bid on this item as a gift'," a source told the New York Post. "He just cracked up."
However, a spokesperson for the actress denied the claims of Linday's request.
"This is another instance of people making up stories about Lindsay," the rep said.
Lindsay didn't seem to take the snub personally and went on to party at the trendy Meatpacking District venue Double Seven.
She wrapped up warm in long fur-trimmed winter coat.
Lindsay accessorised her arresting white outfit with a pair of brown suede heels and a stunning diamond necklace. The 25-year-old was sporting a voluminous head of tumbling waves and bronze make-up to give her a California girl glow.
