Liv Tyler stole the show with her sophisticated ensemble at The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey premiere in New York City last night.

The gorgeous actress doesn't even feature in the mythical film, but still managed to draw all the attention when she arrived in a black satin playsuit with matching blazer.

The event, held at the Ziegfeld Theatre, was the perfect place for the 35-year-old to show off her seemingly endless legs.

Despite not appearing in Peter Jackson's latest Middle Earth adaptation, Liv is no stranger to the genre, having portrayed Arwen in the Lord of the Rings trilogy.

Whereas all-black can seem a little sombre for a celebration, the star knew just how to spice her outfit up with a splash of colour.

Red was the shade of choice, which Liv wore on her lips, and on her feet in the form of red, strappy stilettos.

Elijah Wood returns to the big screen as Frodo in The Hobbit and also made a striking appearance on the red carpet.

The 31-year-old wore his trademark piercing stare with a Black Fleece by Brooks Brothers suit, teamed with an Oxford cloth shirt and tie.

Elijah's co-stars Sir Ian McKellen, Andy Serkis and Martin Freeman all joined the actor at the premiere.

The Hobbit hits cinemas worldwide from December 12.

No matter how stringently your loved ones warn you, that won't stop you pursuing a romantic interest. You're utterly captivated by someone who exudes warmth, charisma and drama. The two of you get along very well, but beware of the financial toll this relationship will take. The object of your affection likes expensive things. If you're not able to provide them with the luxuries they crave, there will be problems. Then again, you have the potential for being a good provider, so all may be well.More
