Nicki Minaj sometimes feels nervous about being on time when getting dressed in her elaborate outfits.
Her elaborate outfits often can be a lot of work to put together. The singer confessed that her dressing process has her glancing at the clock.
“It’s something that I have a lot of fun with. It does get a bit nerve-wracking when I have to be out and on time for certain stuff,” Nicki revealed to British magazine Look.
Nicki is currently appearing on the judging panel of TV show American Idol. During her time on the show, the singer has been wearing her trademark colourful dresses and wigs, which helped to bring out the star’s extrovert personality. Nicki claims the way she dresses also helps free her from the everyday routine.
“It brings confidence and you don’t have to be sexy to do it. It’s liberating, I would feel totally trapped if I had to look the same every day,” Nicki explained.
The star revealed how the sources of her costumes come from her own personal ideas. Through her clothing, the singer feels she is able to re-enact her daydreams. “To me the one way that I can relive my fantasies every day is by changing my outward appearance,” the star explained.
