Mischa Barton says opening her eponymous store has been "quite an adventure".
The stunning actress launched her flagship clothing boutique in London's fashionable east end earlier this week. Mischa is proud of her new venture and says opening her own store seemed the next step after delivering eight successful seasons of her handbag line.
"We've been in development since last year and it's been quite an adventure," she beamed to GraziaOnline. "We wanted to build on the success of the handbags and it was a very natural progression. It's quite hard to get a store here so when we got it, I was very happy."
Mischa also has a shopping website named Mischa's Place in the UK and America, and first turned her hand to designing back in 2008 with her handbag range.
The 26-year-old star - who was catapulted to fame in hit drama The OC - has revealed what type of fashionista she has in mind when she designs.
"Girls who are distinct with their fashion choices and want to be a different - they're quite sophisticated. We cater for the 16-35 market and I've found that we reach a lot of older women too," she said.
"The items on sale are at a good price range, but I'm still shocked that the younger generation buy into it. They're so into it and aware of The OC. I'm like, 'You're too young to have seen The OC,' - it's bizarre and never seems to die, but it's great. That's the beauty of DVD."
