Natalie Portman's "easy breezy" Golden Globes hairstyle was "really modern", says a top celebrity stylist.

The Hollywood actress wowed on the prestigious film event's red carpet earlier this year. Wearing a pink and red gathered Lanvin gown, Natalie accessorised with a matching clutch, delicate jewellery and a no-fuss chignon.

Hairdresser-to-the-stars Kerry Warn - who tends to the tresses of Nicole Kidman - says Natalie's low-key look was lovely.

"I loved the easy breezy, low maintenance chignon that Natalie wore to the Golden Globes," he told the latest edition of Marie Claire magazine.

"The fact that it looks pure and unfussy gives in a really modern edge."

Kerry has revealed how you can re-create the look at home. The hair pro says the correct use of products is key.

"It's important that it retains a soft, touchable quality, so ditch the brushes and let your fingers do the work," he said.

"Start by spritzing some serum onto damp hair and blow-dry smooth. Then pull the hair back and twist into a flat knot against the nape, finishing with a misting of hairspray."
