Nicki Minaj has revealed promotional images for her second collaboration with MAC cosmetics.

The superstar singer is known for her love of bright and bold make-up and outrageous clothing.

Now Nicki has teamed up with the brand for her second Viva Glam collection, following the success of her debut hot pink shade of lipstick with MAC.

For her latest beauty launch, Nicki is releasing a limited-edition lavender shade of lipstick that will be available from February next year.

The official campaign image was twittered by MAC cosmetics yesterday with the news and photo confirmed on Nicki's website today.

In her advert for the collection, Nicki is seen floating in a pool of purple lipsticks, sporting a sunshine-yellow retro-inspired swimsuit and coral stilettos.

The global pop sensation took to her Twitter account to express her excitement for the launch along with the hashtag #LavenderIsTheNewPink.

She also revealed that for her 2013 campaign with MAC she will be fronting the lavender hued product alone, following her previous campaign alongside pop star Ricky Martin.

"Ready for my new VIVA GLAM lipstick? I'm going solo as MAC's VIVA GLAM girl beginning February 2013!!! #LAVENDERISTHENEWPINK,"

Nicki tweeted along with the Instagram image of the product.

"Going solo in 2013,Nicki Minaj's next Viva Glam Lipstick avail Feb. #BARBZ you made it trend: #LAVENDERISTHENEWPINK."

Nicki's move into lavender make-up follows other musicians such as Azealia Banks and Rihanna who have already rocked versions of this edgy, violet hue. Purple lips have also been spotted on the spring 2013 runways at Alice + Olivia, Marc Jacobs and Vena Cava's fashion shows.

Nicki's new lavender Viva Glam lipstick will also come in a lipglass and will be available from MAC stores and MACCosmetics.com from February 9, priced at $15.

The product is expected to raise an estimated $37million, with all profits going directly to the MAC Aids Fund.

The Fund divides the profits between worldwide charities and organisations that help in the prevention and education of HIV, and also the poverty that often comes from living with Aids.
