Nuala takes the honours Northern Ireland style awards

Most Stylish Woman: Nuala Meenahan

A male manicurist and a former top model were the toast of Northern Ireland’s fashionistas last night after being crowned the Magners Light Most Stylish Man and Woman.

Peter Gilroy — who is a previous Best Dressed winner — and Nuala Meenahan, a former Belfast Telegraph employee, fought off stiff competition to walk away with the titles.

The Most Stylish Couple gong went to Alan McDonald and Maria Mulholland. Graeme Finnegan, of Grounded Expresso Bars, was named Most Stylish Businessman, while photographer Khara Pringle won Most Stylish Businesswoman.

The award for Most Stylish Female Sports Star went to Lynsey Patterson of Newtownabbey Strikers Football Club and Glentoran footballer Elliott Morris was named the Most Stylish Male Sports Star.

Atelier in Queen’s Arcade in Belfast picked up the award for Most Stylish Independent Fashion Outlet, while Murial’s Bar in the city centre won Most Stylish Pub. The Most Stylish Restaurant award went to Made in Belfast. Peter Mark was named Most Stylish Hair Salon and Rouge Beauty Salon also picked up an award.

Hundreds of fashion followers packed into Cafe Vaudeville last night for the awards event, which was hosted by Cool FM DJ’s Pete Snodden and Kirstie McMurray.

Gavan Morris, marketing manager Magners Light, said: “The evening was a tremendous success with Belfast’s Café Vaudeville packed to capacity.

“The Magners Light Style Awards have become a major event on the social calendar where the Belfast fashion-set come to see and be seen.

“The awards salute the most iconic individuals and inspirational places in Northern Ireland whilst recognising that Belfast is fast becoming a capital of style and culture.”
