Olivia Palermo loves wearing copper-toned pieces, but admits not everyone can "pull those off".
The American socialite-and-model is renowned for her perfectly polished style and is rarely seen looking anything less than fabulous.
Olivia is lauded for her elegant and timeless New York chic wardrobe, and has revealed her must-have items for this season.
"Right now I'm loving embellished pieces and gold and copper-toned metallics - although not everyone can pull those off," she told the latest issue of British magazine Closer. "When choosing an outfit, it's extremely important to always introduce a dash of colour, even in winter."
Olivia enjoys pushing boundaries with her clothes and accessories, but always sticks to a few tried and tested rules. These simple style guidelines ensure she is always perfectly turned out in public.
"I love tailored pieces and blazers are great - they can be worn with anything and instantly change an outfit," she explained. "I always try to wear one structured piece. I love layered looks using vests or jackets but sometimes I feel my best in a great pair of jeans and a fabulous T-shirt. Take risks with fashion - they don't always work but it is important to experiment and discover your own style."
