Penélope Cruz "grew up" with luxury fashion brand Loewe.
The stunning actress was recently revealed as the Spanish label's new face and didn't have to think twice about accepting.
The 38-year-old was raised in Spain and is thrilled she can support her home country in this exciting new role.
"They approached me and I said yes very quickly because it's a Spanish brand and everyone involved is from Spain - although the designer is British - all the work is done there in the factories in Spain," she explained to Vogue.co.uk.
"It's such an old company. It's been there forever and I have grown up looking at their wonderful things."
Stuart Vevers, creative director of Loewe, is also thrilled to have the Vicky Cristina Barcelona star on board.
When the news was first revealed, he called Penélope a "strong, sensual beauty" and the actress is touched by his kind words.
"Well, I am grateful - and sometimes I don't know what to say when it comes from a person that I also admire very much," she blushed.
"I will thank him for saying all the beautiful things that he wrote for the [Loewe] press release. I think he's really very talented."
This isn't the first time the gorgeous star has been able to support her home country with her work.
Penélope previously modelled for high street store Mango, which was founded in Barcelona.
