Rihanna enjoyed posing with snakes for a magazine shoot, even though she is too scared to be in the same room as some insects.
Over the weekend the star shared several images of herself which will be in the 25th anniversary edition of British GQ magazine. The picture shows Rihanna wearing green contact lenses and with a huge snake draped over her head and clutched in her right hand.
Fans loved the shot, with Rihanna later using Twitter to joke it was a miracle it was ever taken.
"I just get run out my room from a bat, a grasshopper, and a roach de size of a bat!!! (sic)," she wrote.
Another used replied: "u had snakes on u, but they scare u? (sic).”
"Go figure! They fly around way too fast for me! (sic)," Rihanna replied.
The GQ shoot was directed by artist Damien Hirst. In another picture, Rihanna stares into the camera with the reptile coiled around her neck. On her head is a nest of smaller snakes, with the singer wearing just a small pair of panties and towering heels.
"Medusa head on me like I'm 'luminati!!!! (sic)," she tweeted.
The images were taken by photographer Mariano Vivanco, with Rihanna topless in them all. In another picture, she has her mouth wide open to reveal vampire-style pointy incisors. Several of her tattoos, including a gun on her rib cage and writing down her hip, are on view as two snakes writhe across her.
"I love playing with dominant animals! These 2 were double the trouble, but they're superstars!!! #snakez (sic)," she captioned the shot on Instagram.
