Simon Pegg is happy to "take one for the team" and be teased for having a ginger beard.
The British star is famed for his flaming locks, although he isn't a natural red head. That said, his facial hair is often fiery when he lets it grow.
"I don't want to counter it, because what's wrong with ginger hair? It's annoying when people use a stick to beat me with because I'm not ginger, but I'll take one for the team, since I can't deny having a ginger beard," he told Q magazine, when asked if he is ever teased about his hair hue.
Simon decided to dye his hair for 2004 movie Sean of the Dead. He was supposed to boast a blonde shade, but things didn't go to plan when he got to the stylist.
"I went to a hairdresser in Knightsbridge, but they dyed it the wrong colour and it turned sort of reddish," he laughed. "So when Sean of the Dead arrived everyone assumed that was my hair colour, but it's not. So any ginger taunt is ridiculous to me."
