Solange Knowles in edgy shoot

Solange Knowles

Solange Knowles looks stunning in an edgy shoot for GQ magazine.

Although she may not be quite as famous as her sister Beyoncé, the 26-year-old certainly seems to be coming into her own in the style stakes.

In the publication's January issue, the singer-and-DJ poses with a microphone in hand as she shows off a gorgeous polka dot top and skirt ensemble.

Solange looks fierce in the black and white snap as she poses with other underground musicians.

Her Azzedine Alaia outfit is cleverly accessorised with sexy Jimmy Choo sandals and Jennifer Fisher jewellery.

Also featured in the shoot are New York City bands Grizzly Bear, Blood Orange and Dirty Projector.

Another image features Solange with her fellow artists as she rocks a leather-look bra top.

As well as proving her status as a fashionista, the mother-of-one has been busy promoting first single Losing You from her latest album True.

Despite often standing in the shadow of her 31-year-old sister, Solange has always assured she has the full support of her older sibling.

"She actually came to the listening party that we had in New York and she's been an incredible support for me embarking on this for two years," she recently told Rap-Up.com.

"There's been a lot of ups and a lot of downs and it's just great to have that support and sisterhood, especially with someone who understands what it feels like to be an artist and all of the things that go along with that. It's been wonderful."

Gemini:

You never do anything in moderation. Attend every fun party, accept every juicy offer and try all the delectable treats spread before you. Avoid unpleasant people and activities like the plague. This should be a time of enjoyment. Leave your list of chores at home. You can always attend to these jobs at another time. If you have a chance to show your creative work to a publisher, manager or agent, go ahead. This is also a great opportunity to go on job interviews, auditions and first dates.More
