Venus Williams says her clothing designs for EleVen have naturally expanded as her line has evolved.

The tennis star showcased her Fall/Winter 13 collection in New York yesterday.

The sportswoman-and-designer revealed a larger selection of EleVen clothing than seen before.

This included colourful tennis dresses, 'Love Game' jackets, flutter skirts, shorts, pants and tops.

“It’s the evolution of the line," Venus explained to WWD. "It’s bigger than the first season and I’m trying to offer more pieces to fit more people.”

The new collection has also expanded into the broader fitness clothing genre. This includes workout pants, leggings and jackets suitable for outside activity.

“I want to encourage a healthy, active lifestyle,” Venus explained.

The American tennis star is currently ranked number 20 in the world. The 32-year-old plans to continue playing in major tournaments and is striving to reclaim her spot as world number one. Venus' blossoming design career is something she is equally as passionate about.

“I’m trying to make the best use of my time,” Venus gushed.

EleVen currently retails at tennis and speciality sports shops in the US, as well as online.

It was announced in January that Venus had signed up two brand ambassadors to help promote her line.

Johanna Konta and Jarmila Gajdosova wore outfits from the label at the Australian Open tennis tournament this year.

This was the first time that styles from EleVen by Venus Williams had been worn by players in a major contest.
