With wedding season almost upon us, Debenhams is reporting a 43% increase in sales of occasionwear and accessories over the past five weeks.
And this year key spring/summer trends include animal print, monochrome and a burst of jewel colours.
Karen Nason, spokesperson for Debenhams, says: “Women are relying more and more on the |accessory to freshen up an |occasion look. Rather than spending money on a whole new outfit, they are purchasing different accessories and mix and matching colours and prints they wouldn’t have considered before.”
Here, in an exclusive shoot for the Belfast Telegraph, model Hannah Devane shows how to work these different looks to turn heads on the day.

Someone will steal credit for your work, which is maddening. Drawing attention to the problem will only make you look petty. You're better off accepting the situation with quiet dignity and grace. Move on to the next assignment, but make sure to sign your name to every piece of work that is submitted. Tell your boss what you are doing on a regular basis. You'll sound like a pest, but at least it's better than getting stabbed in the back.More
