Fashion Spy Belfast - 'Miranda Kerr has classic style, but Kelly Osbourne has really got it wrong'

Kerry McKittrick checks out the style in Belfast city centre

Wore what? Coat, £25, Primark; dress, £12, Exhibit; boots, £80, Office; bag, present.

Why? I wear a lot of black and my fashion must-have is my Mulberry bag although I don't have it with me today. I have to dress smartly for both university and work. One thing I can't stand, however, is kitten heels -- they're a real no-no in my book.

Who? Miranda Kerr has such a nice classic but dressy style. As for Kelly Osbourne? She has really got it wrong in the past.

* Monthly spend £300

Dara Adams (17), student, Belfast

Wore what? Headband, £8, Christmas market; coat, £50, Missguided; scarf, £15, Topshop; bag, £35, Ted Baker; boots, £100, River Island.

Why? I like a glamorous look with lots of fake fur and sparkles. I wouldn't wear jeans or tracksuit bottoms -- they're not 'dressed up' enough for me.

Who? I like Selena Gomez because she manages to look understated but still glamorous. I'm not keen on Miley Cyrus -- she's been taking things too far lately.

* Monthly spend £40

Jasmin Patterson (22), student, Carrickfergus

Wore what? Jacket, £20, Diesel from eBay; jeggings, £10, NV; scarf, £3, gloves, £14 and boots, £15, all from Primark.

Why? I like bright colours and I also enjoy putting an individual twist on most of the things I wear. I don't like it when people wear low-cut jeans and belly tops and let it all hang out.

Who? I love Lady Gaga because she has such an outrageous style. I don't like people dressing in a cheap and tacky way-- for example, anyone from Jersey Shore.

* Monthly spend £60

Martina Lawler (20), student, Belfast

Wore what? Hat, £8, New Look; jacket, present, Forever 21; T-shirt, £15, River Island; jeans, £32, Topshop; shoes, £12 and bag, £8, both from River Island.

Why? My style is casual and I tend to go for things like jeans and leather jackets. I'm not a girly girl so sequins aren't really my thing.

Who? Kendall Kardashian has a nice, simple style but Jessie J's look is a bit too alternative for me.

* Monthly spend £250

Brighid Mallon (20), student, Belfast

Wore what? Coat, £25, bag, £20, boots, £35 and scarf, £8, all from New Look; jumper, £20, Republic; jeans, £40, Topshop.

Why? New Look is my favourite shop. I have a classic but feminine style and can find pieces I like there. I don't like some of the tartan clothes on the market - that look is a bit played out.

Who? Molly King from The Saturdays always looks great. I don't like Cara Delevingne's style.

* Monthly spend £100
