Acting star James Nesbitt offended supermodel Kate Moss, resulting in her storming out of an awards do.

Mr Nesbitt was hosting the GQ Men of the Year Awards on Tuesday night when he quipped that the 35-year-old beauty “has still got it. Well, she should do, I gave it to her just before she came on stage”.

The star of Five Minutes of Heaven added: “What? I'm talking about my telephone number.”

He made the comment as the supermodel, who is this month’s Vogue cover girl, presented the Woman of the Year award to singer Lily Allen.

But Mr Nesbitt’s humour was lost on Ms Moss, who immediately left the posh do at London’s Royal Opera House with boyfriend Jamie Hince, frontman of rock band The Kills.

According to reports, she raged: “He's so f***ing rude. I'm never coming here again.”

She swept past rapper Dizzee Rascal, who last week played in Belfast at the annual Belsonic music extravaganza, while he was in the middle of a television interview. Seconds later, Moss popped back to ask: “Has anyone seen my lipstick?”

She apologised after Dizzee shot back: “Nah man. You keep stealing my light, man. Only joking.”

He added:”Kate Moss has lost her lipstick — f****** disaster.”
