Saoirse Dargan (35) welcomed baby Caolan Dargan into the world on May 21.
After a long and restless labour Caolan weighed in at 7Ib 9oz.
His mum started having labour pains on the Thursday night.
“The pains were horrendous. They started on the Thursday and by the Friday morning they were gone,” said Saoirse.
“They started again in the early hours of the Saturday morning and Caolan was eventually born on the Monday morning at 1.20am.”
Saoirse suffered morning sickness but said the pregnancy went well. “I was sick for the first four months — at the start I was very sick,” she said.
“I didn’t find out what I was having, I didn’t want to.
“My family and friends were hoping it was a girl because I have two boys already.
“I believed I was having a girl because my bump was all to the front, but that was not to be.
“Obviously it is an old wives’ tale,” she laughed.
Saoirse has two sons Lucas (9) and Shea (8) and said the boys are so proud of their new baby brother.
“The boys love him, they are absolutely fantastic with him and nearly kiss him to death,” she said.
“They are the best big brothers in the world.
“I definitely think this is my last baby, I now have three boys to look after me when I am old.”
