Jack William Busby arrived in the world two days late — but it turned out to be perfect timing, as he now shares his birthday with his maternal grandfather.
Little Jack was due to be born at the Ulster Hospital, Dundonald on February 17, but instead arrived in the world at 1.08am on February 19.
He weighed in at a healthy 7lb 3oz. A first child for civil servant Lindsey Beatty and sales manager John Busby, from Bangor, he is growing by the day and keeping his parents busy.
Lindsey said she loves being a new mum and the whole family circle is enjoying having Jack in their lives.
Lindsey and John are getting married this August and looking forward to seeing how Jack changes and develops as the years go by.
“He's a great baby,” Lindsey said.
“I think he looks like a good mixture of both of us.”
Jack is another grandchild for George and Joan Busby, from Dundonald, but the first grandchild for Lindsey's parents, Alison and John Beatty.
Alison said she is thrilled to have a grandson to help care for and is thoroughly enjoying her new role.
Pursuing an unusual goal is exhilarating. In the past, you were taken to task for being a rebel. Now people are expressing admiration for your dreams. You're an inspiration to those who aren't enamoured with the status quo. If you have a chance to learn a foreign language, take it. Mastering this tongue will pave the way for an exciting trip. You have to admit, you've grown tired of the old routine. It's time to strike in a new direction.More
