As the fourth child in a busy household, baby Martha Violet has fitted in perfectly.
The baby girl’s parents, Kelly and Ryan Creighton, welcomed the latest member of the family a week earlier than expected.
In spite of her early arrival via Caesarean section, the newborn weighed in at a healthy 9lbs.
Kelly and Ryan decided to name their girl after her grandmother, Ryan’s mother, who holds a special place in their hearts.
Both parents wanted names that complemented each other and agreed that Martha Violet was a perfect fit.
Their eldest daughter is Maddy (9). She is followed by two boys — Jude (7) and Jonah (4) — so an |another M was needed to make it perfect, and along came Martha.
All three children dote on their new sister and Kelly said her youngest child has fitted right in to busy family life at their Newtownards home.
“She is very good-natured and just slots into our routine,” Kelly said. “Martha is 10 weeks old now, doing well and has been sleeping through the night.”
She noted all her children’s names were biblical, and even though the couple are not religious, Kelly says this gives all four names a “lovely meaning”.
Martha was born at the Ulster Hospital in Dundonald, where all her siblings were delivered.
The busy mum was full of praise for the care she received there.
She described Martha’s delivery as a “really good experience”.
“The nurses were lovely and it was different from my previous births, as I gave birth in the new maternity unit,” she added.
Kelly and Ryan, both 32, work at the National Blood Service’s centre in Bangor.
