Tommy and Vivian McKinnon are celebrating the birth of their first child together.
Sonny McKinnon was born at the Ulster Hospital at 3.56am on September 11. He weighed 7lbs 5oz and measured 53cms.
Proud parents Tommy (43), a company director, and Vivian (41), a community support worker from Scotland, now living in Carrowdore, Co Down, are thrilled with the new addition to their family.
Tommy has three other children — Ali (20), Thomas (15) and Kai (6) — and Vivian is already mum to Gary (22) and 14-year-old Hayley.
“Sonny is a honeymoon baby,” Vivian said.
“We were married in November in St Lucia and we brought him home with us.
“My pregnancy was brilliant. I did yoga twice a week and went to the gym.
“I wanted to have a natural birth, but I ended up having an emergency C-section.”
The McKinnons knew they were having a wee boy, as they had a 4D scan ahead of his arrival.
They praised staff at the Ulster Hospital for the care and attention they received and sent out thanks to all those people who have sent kind messages about Sonny's arrival.
“The two of us are a bit dazed and confused, but we are delighted,” Vivian added.
“We want to say thank you to everyone for their good wishes.”
