When Siobhan and Brian Darby went to Donegal to celebrate Siobhan's birthday last year, she had no idea Brian was intending to propose.
Brian said we should go to the beach I thought he wanted to go surfing even though we were supposed to be celebrating my birthday, said Siobhan.
When we got back to the car he produced a hamper with Champagne, strawberries, chocolates and lots of hearts - then he went down on one knee.
The couple had been together for six years having met at work at the Ulster Bank An office night out at a ceili even saw them paired together and romance blossomed.
Although Siobhan had her idea of the perfect wedding, the betrothed decided to invest in the honeymoon of a lifetime instead of an expensive wedding.
I'd always wanted to get married at Galgorm Manor, but at that point I didn't think it would happen. I managed to drag Brian along for a look on their bridal wedding day anyway and I loved it.
As the couple left the hotel Siobhan spotted an advert for the resort's 2012 Wedding Fayre. Anyone entering was in with a chance of winning £10,000 towards their dream wedding at the Galgorm Resort & Spa.
I entered, but then I completely forgot about it, said Siobhan. I've never, ever won anything in my life so it just went out of my head. I couldn't believe it when I got the phone call telling us we had won.
Siobhan and Brian won a prize that any couple would be envious of. Among other things it included the cost of the room, meals for 80 people, the services of an award-winning photographer, the Arco String Quartet playing at their arrival at the venue, the cake, the band and the DJ.
It was like having a wedding planner, explained Siobhan. I could simply pick the flowers or the cake that I wanted from a selection it took an awful lot of stress out of planning the wedding. Seamus (43) a businessman and Lara (34) a PR executive, first met at a house party in Helens Bay in December 2009.
They got chatting and then Seamus asked Lara if they could met up sometime.
Lara said no, initially, but when Seamus asked again she agreed to go on a date.
The couple fell in love and then in September 2010 became engaged at Rolys Restaurant in Ballsbridge, Dublin.
It was completely unexpected and very romantic, Lara said.
We were in Dublin for the wedding of a friend I met when I was living in Paris.
We were out for a meal and after dessert he proposed.
It was a beautiful setting and I loved my engagement ring; Im very lucky.
Its very simple and classic. He knows what I like.
Seamus and Lara organised their wedding together, opting to tie the knot in Mauritius.
It was just the two of us, Lara said.
When I was younger I always said I would get married on the beach in a bikini.
I ditched the bikini idea and went for beautiful dress designed by Una Rodden.
We had a fantastic wedding day, Lara added.
We had a lovely couples massage in the morning and had nothing to worry or stress about.
Everything was taken care of.
Following their wedding the couple headed to Dubai on honeymoon and celebrated their first New Year together as husband and wife.
We saw the fireworks and met some lovely people from all over the world, Lara said.
We had an amazing time.
When the newlyweds got home they arranged a party at The Ivory in Belfast for close friends and family.
Lara said her parents Priscilla and Joe were of great emotional support, as were her siblings Julian, Naomi and Zoe, who is well known as a television presenter and former Miss Northern Ireland.
Im the most blessed Ive ever been, Lara said.
