Richard and Michelle McNeilly knew each other at school but didn't fall in love until they connected years later on Facebook.
Then two years ago Michelle noticed Richard was friends with her cousin on Facebook and got chatting to him.
From there they dated, fell in love and then on Christmas Day last year Richard proposed.
“I went for a bath and when I came back down there were flower petals everywhere.
“We had champagne and I had to open lots of boxes with an engagement ring inside.”
The couple organised their wedding together and married in front of 100 guests at St Mark's Parish Church in Newtownards, followed by a reception at Clandeboye Lodge in Bangor.
“The service was beautiful,” Michelle said. “It was really lovely to be with everyone close to us.
“Everything went smoothly.
“Reverend Matchett was fantastic and put us both at ease.”
Michelle's son Jamie was ring bearer and usher on the day and her best friend Kirsty Docherty was matron of honour.
“Kirsty has been my best friend since I was 17,” Michelle said.
Richard and Michelle's had quirky inclusions at their reception, such as popcorn, candy hearts and candy floss, and their first dance as husband and wife was to I Do by American singer Colbie.
After the wedding the newlyweds headed to the Maldives.
Michelle said: “We stayed in a water bungalow, so we were out at sea for two weeks and treated like royalty.”
The McNeillys are home now and settled into married life.
They are also celebrating the good news that Michelle is pregnant with their first child.
“Being married is great,” Michelle said. “And we're having a wee honeymoon baby.”
Someone will steal credit for your work, which is maddening. Drawing attention to the problem will only make you look petty. You're better off accepting the situation with quiet dignity and grace. Move on to the next assignment, but make sure to sign your name to every piece of work that is submitted. Tell your boss what you are doing on a regular basis. You'll sound like a pest, but at least it's better than getting stabbed in the back.More
